IPL is a quick and easy procedure that is used to treat pigmentation from sun damage, as well as broken blood vessels and rosacea. Our IPL also has a hand piece that is FDA cleared for acne. Patients find it to be a quick and effective treatment for acne breakouts.
IPL therapy is popular for its efficacy in treating a myriad of skin conditions. Here are some key benefits:
Sun Damage Repair: IPL therapy can effectively repair sun damage by reducing the appearance of sunspots, freckles, and other forms of hyperpigmentation.
Reduction of Redness and Rosacea: The procedure can significantly reduce redness and the symptoms of rosacea, improving skin texture and tone.

After the IPL procedure red spots and vessels will be more red and brown spots will be more hyperpigmented for a few days. After a few days the discoloration goes back to baseline levels. Slowly the discoloration improves over the course of 4-6 weeks.
Follow up treatments are done every 4-6 weeks.
A gel is applied to the areas to be treated and the IPL procedure is then completed. We then have patients ice the treated areas for a few minutes.
Sunscreen is applied after the procedure.
